Abstract
The screening process for Curriculum Vitae (CV) presents a significant challenge in recruitment. The increasing number of job seekers adds to the burden on companies in attracting and retaining top talent. This research aims to develop an efficient CV screening system by combining Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Pattern Matching (PM) methods, utilizing data from a dictionary of 24 job positions. OCR technology converts text from CV images into a digital format, while PM matches CV content with job requirements. The system is built using the ASP.NET framework. Testing results indicate that the system accurately evaluates CVs, ensuring consistent alignment between candidate qualifications and job criteria. HR professionals can easily access and analyze CV matching results through graphical representations. In conclusion, this system enhances recruitment efficiency, assists companies in selecting the right candidates, and helps job seekers find suitable job opportunities while providing relevant alternative job recommendations
